Hertfordshire sits on the northern arc of the M25. From our depot in Darenth, Dartford DA2 8DP, we go over the Dartford Crossing and round the M25 to reach Hertfordshire, with the A1(M), M1, A10 and A414 taking us on to towns across the county.
Hiab hire for Hertfordshire sites
Hertfordshire mixes busy commuter towns like Watford, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead with new housing around Stevenage, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City, plus business parks and logistics sites along the M1 and A1(M) corridors. A Hiab delivers and lifts in one visit, so building materials, cabins, steel and plant can be set down where they're needed without a separate crane or forklift.
The right Hiab for the job
- Small Hiabs for tight residential streets, building materials and everyday site deliveries.
- Medium Hiabs for heavier loads such as cabins, plant, steel and pallets of materials.
- Long reach Hiabs with up to 32m reach for lifting over buildings, scaffolds, hoardings and gardens. Our Fassi F1050 with L436 flyjib gives a 37m tip height and up to 33.4m hydraulic outreach.
- Heavy lifting Hiabs for the biggest loads, matched to the weight and the radius.
Every hire comes with a trained operator who drives the truck and runs the crane. Tell us the load, the distance from the kerb to the drop zone and any access limits, and we'll match the right truck.
Period homes, conservation areas and tight plots
Older centres such as St Albans, Hertford and Hitchin have narrow streets, period properties and gardens behind terraces. A long reach Hiab can lift over the roofline from the road, and where the truck can't get close a spider crane or tracked carrier can take the load the last few metres.
Machinery moves and haulage
For factory and warehouse moves we transport machinery and lift it into position with our trucks, Hiabs and spider cranes. We don't install machinery or connect it to services. We also run general and Hiab haulage into and out of the county.
CPA hire or a CPA contract lift
With standard CPA hire you get the Hiab and a trained operator, and you plan and supervise the lift. If you'd rather hand it over, book a CPA contract lift: our Appointed Person plans the lift, with 2D/3D CAD lift plans and RAMS, and we supply the crane supervisor and slinger/signaller and manage the lift on the day.
Our trucks are FORS Gold accredited, CLOCS compliant and meet the Direct Vision Standard, with Euro 6 engines, and we hold ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
Towns we cover in Hertfordshire include: Watford, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Hertford, Ware, Bishop's Stortford, Cheshunt, Hoddesdon, Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Hitchin, Letchworth and Berkhamsted.
